Always a Smile on Missy (#MyTurn)

by Charlene Morton

The first thing I noticed when receiving information about Missy was that she always has a smile -- even in the sad beginning of her story. I think the images below speak for themselves.

Even in the "Then" photo, look at that huge smile -- Missy is simply a "happy dog." Thanks to Middle Tennessee Treasures and Missy's foster mom, she's recovered from starvation and heartworm issues. She's more than ready for a new family! She's great with kids, other dogs, and even cats! She's a great leash walker and knows "sit" and "shake" commands.

She does well with car rides and would love a home where she can lounge on furniture. Won't you consider sweet Missy? If so, please send me an e-mail on my Contact Page. If you're not in a position to adopt right now, please share her on your social media pages (#MyTurn). Thank you!

Launching "My Turn"

by Charlene Morton

A couple of days ago, I posted on Facebook that I would be launching a new blog feature soon...here it is! My goal is to spotlight an adoptable pet each week, one who's waiting for their turn to go home with their forever family. I'm so happy to announce that Boomer is our first "My Turn" baby! I haven't had the opportunity to meet this sweet boy in person, but his sweetness just shines through!

This is Boomer, a 3-year-old, neutered Mastiff/Boxer mix. I've been told Boomer is just a big ol' energetic puppy, weighing in at around 80 pounds of adoring love. He is housebroken and knows basic commands. The ideal home for Boomer would be a place with plenty of room to run and play -- he keeps up with one of his sitters who is a marathon runner! He can be a bit excitable when playing with other dogs, so a larger canine brother/sister would be best, and he loves kids. Through networking, we can prevent this sweet boy from entering a shelter.

If your home is a fit for Boomer, e-mail me on my Contact page, and I'll put you in touch with his foster mom. Please share on your social media pages as well! Thank you! #myturn
